I find it very difficult to watch TV and see the images but I believe that we must take a closer look at what happened and learn from all of this. I've got a chance to attend the photography class organized by Manila Artists Philippines. It was fun coz it was like competing with your classmates. I was able to navigate my DSLR camera which I tried all the functions of manual which really excites me . Honestly, my shots were not perfectly done because it was entirely different from learning by yourself than listening to your instructor which made me uncomfortable and I feel a little stress. Oh well, I was always the first one to finish the projects we had. From wide shots, to focus, to freezing action and to panning, I was in an awe because they knew it's really hard for a beginner to take photos under pressure. Here's my shots, I said "shots"

I'm not really a religious type of person. But I usually go to church every Wednesday in Baclaran and Fridays in Quiapo. I cannot explain why I'm being relieved everytime I spend an hour inside the church. Whoa that's miracle. I just love that Plaza Miranda has this spacious floor area, which allows people to get a good framing of the church. However, this is a very populated place, so expect your pictures to have people walking around.

My baby P990i. I'm so missing you and Arden as well on screen.

I so love the feeling everytime I have a new gadget.
I was traumatized when I was dragged by hold-uppers last August 2010. And I really miss the mobile phone that stolen from me. I like the classy mobile phones even it's not the latest unit. When I lost my gadget, i was so mad that's why i've got my new DSLR camera to replace what i've lost. Then I have bought another cheap mobile phone and unfortunately it was lost again last December as I was a victim by a pickpocketers. Oh well that was Christmas and everybody needs money. And thank God a new baby was born. my new Blackberry Bold 9200. Now I can access to my Twitter account and supposed to be my Facebook account which is deactivated. What I love most is the email capability of this mobile phone.

I have a busy and active account in Facebook. I know my friends in my fb list are always checking my updates on my wall and most of all the photos of my works, my collection of fashion accessories. My friend Wyzynski and I has a hundred of comments and conversations talking about the people we hate, we like and long talks that is everything under the sun. I'm used not to comment on my friends wall or status.

Oh well, it's time for me to isolate myself this time. I have deactivated my account temporarily. For it really interrupts me everyday. Thinking of what i'm supposed to post and expecting a comment from my friends. And my life is being broadcast, hell! I'm always pretending i'm ok and i'm happy. My angst, my opinion, and the people i hate most which made everyone puzzled are always being read on my wall which I felt a little guilt.

Well time for me to be quiet for while. I know my friends will really miss me.

It was my first time to use my DSLR camera in a fashion show. It was also my first time to witness the most prestigious male pageant in the Philippines. Through the virtue of advertising via internet, my attention was captured by this Fashionissimo: Search for the Philippine's Male Supermodel 2010 pageant. What also caught my attention wass the candidate himself Michael Elhag, a half Iranian and raised in Bicol. He was the most stunning male candidate on that pageant. And he bagged the title as the Male Supermodel of the Philippines.

I'm all with my excitement during the pageant and I was able to capture all the best shots i could have. I wanted it to share with my friends thru facebook most specially with the winner Michael Elhag as i've searched him for his facebook account. I was in an awe when he accepted my invitation and messaged me to do a photo shoot with him. Oh well, i'm kinda busy and my schedule conflicted with his because he do taping as a Taong Lobo in a TV series Imortal. I'll post more of my shots soon and there's a lot of stories about Michael.

Aladdin - A Whole New World

I am not really into cartoon movies even when I was a child. But what only captures my attention is the theme song of the movie. Aside from its colorful and fantastic though unrealistic scenes, what makes it lively and interesting is the song exclusively made for the movie itself. I always like A Whole New World for the movie Aladdin. The song really swallow my mind studying each character of the movie. Then I became a big fan of this movie and I was able to make some drawings and collected some stuffs ( even a pouch of noodle has free sticker inside!). Even the devices of my mom which I have provided for her teaching were all inspired by Aladdin and I was able to make it colorful coz I was all with my different crayons and watercolors and other art stuffs when I was a kid and even when I was in high-school. You bet I always sing the theme song over and over. And i was like playing in broadway! Enjoy the the song.........

Razon's Special Halo-halo

Halo-halo is a typical Filipino dessert composed of shaved ice, milk, leche plan (creme brulee), sweetened fruits, beans, nata de coco and usually topped with ice cream. It doesn't just taste sweet, but what attracts you most is it's colors from its ingredients with red, yellow, green, and brown.

Razon's special Halo halo is almost devoid of any color. It has lesser ingredients unlike a typical halo halo. Should I say Chowking's? This kapampangan dessert only contains finely ( I said finely) shaved ice, sweetened bananas, leche plan (on top), I think macapuno, and milk. That's it! It is blended into perfection and tastes not boringly sweet. Its ice is undeniably as soft and as pure as the driven snow. It's so simple and i'm still wondering how come this simple dessert with lesser ingredients and not having a rainbow color tastes so BAM!

I would say you don't have to wait for summer!

What makes it special also is their Pancit Luglug. I like the baby shrimp on it.

Ponderosa, Puerto Galera

When we are upset and we want to isolate ourselves, we tend to stay away from the places where we feel the atmosphere of pure hype, boredom and errr anger. It was April and I've decided to go home to visit my parents especially Jerome. Also, I was excited to meet my friends and drink, chat, and spend a good time with them.

What I have expected turned into disappointment. It's all kababawan and I don't have to mention it.

I was really upset.... really upset! So I decided to spend a night in my sister's place in Puerto Galera.

I have to go here to spread out my lungs.

This is Ponderosa located at Puerto Galera. I think this is one of the highest places in Puerto Galera. If you are a golf enthusiast it's great if you will spend your time here.

Imagine yourself playing golf in a place where you can almost touch the clouds.

I have always thought to myself that I will always be the baby in the family coz am the youngest. My sisters and brothers find it really hard to decide when will get married. Until my eldest sister finally decided to get married. I was so happy that at the age of 40 she have found her partner in life. I have to confess, it would be hard for me to be closed to her husband. Not that I hate or something personal that I dislike him. Unspokenly, I don't know, maybe he's new to the family. But thank God, they were blessed with a cute baby boy. The first baby in the family. I don't even know why he was named as Jerome by his father. Maybe with all the excitement he just picked a name from nowhere without a meaning. But it sounds good, but i prefer to name him like Juan Carlos, or Sebastian or Billy or Carlos Melito or whatever names that sounds not common. Anyway, so be it. When my sister delivered Jerome, mind you, her husband was not with her, no money to pay the hospital bills, and even the clothes for the coming Jerome. How will I like him as my brother-in-law? My mom was really nervous and so as my father, I understand they cannot go with my sister, they're old and it's 8:00 p.m. and we're travelling more than an hour from my house to the city. So I have to accompany her. That's why I love this kid not only because he is my nephew, but the hardships my sister had experienced. My gosh I can feel the excruciating pain and my sister was screaming (she's almost shouting wowowee!!!!). And Jerome came out weighing 4 lbs., and wasn't able to take some milk on his first day and I was worried. He is not that healthy I admit.

Well, days have passed by, he is now 3 years old. And started attending his class. He is a good boy compared to other children. He is easy to discipline and he is so sweet. He is not common. He can easily immitate whatever people does. So beware of your actions. LOL.

While studying, he stays with my mom, instead of his parents who's working in the city. I think Jerome really not get tired of spending his weekdays with her Lola and weekends with her parents. He's used to this kind of set up. Everyone of us wants to stay or be with him all the time. I, myself really miss being with him or spending the whole day of swimming, eating or even playing with all kinds of toys he have. I do pray that in the future I can support him on his studies and goals.

Good luck Jerome. Tito is always here. Be a good boy always.

Anthem....

This is one of my everyday's anthems. I like listening to any songs performed in duet. I am after the mixture of blending of voices, it circulates with my blood. From Mariah and Whitney to Celine and Barbara,

this one is so damn great. It's not as high as Whitney and her mother's pitch, but I can say this is the most classic version of "I know him so well". So relaxed and what I liked is Belle Perez's way of interpretation. She has a boyish gesture but sooooo feminine voice. Enjoy!

Mossimo Bikini Summit 2009

Bad weather in Boracay postponed this one of the much awaited events in fashion industry. Thank God I was able to catch it. It's a free admission event, all you have to do is to buy 4 pcs. of SM green bag then you'll have the ticket. I don't know what to do with that bags! I have no choice but to buy.

Skydome, the venue of Mossimo Bikini Summit 2009, is such a
great place for events like this. Its so modern and can accomodate 1000 people.

I like the idea of formed letter M.

Wasn't able to catch her name but she's darn great!

Vanessa Dime. I like her from the very start. I like the way she

carry herself. She outwitted us all with her charm and sense of humor.Very classy!

Sushmita Sen

I am not done yet of posting about Miss Universe 1994. I think I would just start doing some entries all about this pageant. Also, am not done yet with Sushmita Sen, I really miss her beautiful face, her intelligence and her wit. And from that time I've recognized her on that event, I really admire how well people in India blessed with those chiseled noses, curly eye lashes and silk like golden brown skins. I felt so envious.

Her face is like a face of a saint. It's priceless and it's more than a perfect!

Miss Universe 1994

I was in third year highschool when Miss Universe 1994 happened here in the Philippines. I was not aware then how big event is this until I've watched the pageant. I have just noticed that the whole town was watching it even my mom and brothers huh!. Since then, I unfailingly watching Miss Universe every year. Thanks to http://www.youtube.com/ for I am always able to watch the highlights of this prestigious pageant over and over again. But among the annual events, what I loved most is the one being held here in our country. I always love watching the production number, to the final question, and up to the announcement of the winner which was really breathtaking . And what I had adored was the winner herself Sushmita Sen from India.

She was effortlessly carrying herself.

She's the most charming among the candidates.

With the finalists. She was just enjoying the pageant like playing cards.

Unexpected. She was so humble.

With that wide-opened mouth and eyes, she still looked so stunning.

.....at the trade fair

If you have a business and you want you want to promote it easily worldwide, Simple, you have to join a trade fair. Our company has been joining trade fairs for so many years. This time it is being held here in the Philippines. It is called IFEX or International Food Exhibition. It was being organized by DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) with some partners like CITEM and Dept of Agriculture. The venue was in SMX in Mall of Asia. I've heard about the place where big events like concerts, fashion shows, and conventions were being held. Now I've got a chance to see what's in it. The trade fair was really awesome. I've seen big company's here as well as their products. Just to capture buyer's attention, seller's have to make their products really presentable as well as ours.

My bosses with a buyer from China. I think they are one of the youngest manufacturers
and exporters. At the age of 29 and 30 they're already running their own company.

Aside from the escalator of Shangri-La mall at EDSA, I think this is one of the longest

escalators I have rode.

It's about 9:00 a.m. and people are starting to drag at the trade fair.

I think I have talked to 5 Chinese nationalities and 4 from Malaysia. They've made me

really exhausted. I wish I could speak what Chinese and Malaysians does. It's like I start learning how to talk.

I was expecting a gift from a friend abroad. It wasn't a surprise 'coz it was shown to me on webcam when we we're chatting over the net. When I saw the pink paper bag on his webcam, my focus is not on the gray box inside it, but on his facial expression while opening the paper bag. It seems he found it really hard to choose a gift for me (nakasimangot). I saw a little pressure on his face that whispers ("I hope you'll like this?") or ("Hayup ka ang mahal nito!")LOL!.I am not really choosy about gifts, one more thing is, am not into gifts (depende sa gifts , he he he). Then he placed the gray box on the cam and I saw the brand, it's Narcisco Rodriguez. I never heard of it, I told him. He said I have to wait for his Aunt to come here in the Philippines 'coz she'll be the one to carry my intriguing perfume.

And I've got it!

As I've said, I am not into gifts, but I have eaten one of my principles.

From then on, I thank God for creating this man:

Philippine Escargot

I grew up in our farm in Mindoro where exotic foods are just hanging around. And I am really familiar with some exotic foods our farm could have and what my grandfather can provide, 'coz our place is far from the town proper for us to buy food stuffs everytime I salivate from the foods a child usually eat. Aside from the typical foods like bananas or camote a rural area has, what I really miss is my favorite ginataang kuhol (escargot or brown snails) by my grandma. Everytime I am going to visit Kamayan in Glorietta with my office mates, I always zeroed in on a plate of ginataang kuhol. I've got to have several pieces of toothpick 'coz I always break it as I find myself really excited picking out what is inside the brown shell.

Ahh, for me not to set schedule to go to Kamayan or Cabalen anymore. I've looked for the recipe so I can do it at home and I will share it with you.

Ingredients:

2-3 cups of brown snails (kuhol)

1 garlic head

1 tbsp. ginger

3 pcs. siling labuyo (or bird’s eye pepper)

2 cups of gata or coconut milk (2 coconuts are equivalent to 2 cups of gata)

pinch of salt

Procedure:

1. Soak kuhol in water for 2-3 hours.

2. After, wash and drain well.

3. Break tail-end of snails (simply by tapping with the handle of a knife).

4. Wash again and drain then set aside.

5. In a pan, sauté garlic and ginger, add a little patis or fish sauce.

6. Pour coconut milk and bring to a boil.

7. Let simmer for about 15 minutes then add the snails.

8. Season with salt.

9. Add in the pepper last and leave for 10 more minutes.

10. Serve hot with white rice.

** Optional: Add chopped spring onions for some color.

I was young then and in the not-too-long-to forget days, I remember us hunting for fresh mango fruits from somebody's mango trees whether a neighbor or a rice field away. I was always armed with a sling shot or tirador made by my playmate's Dad (Mang Dado). Since chilhood, green mango will always be one of my cravings. My shirt will turn into a bag full of "manggang kinalabaw" for me to carry all those ill-gotten mangoes, LOL!

Still goin' Bananas

I was up for almost 15 hours and the whole trip to Cagayan de Oro seems so dark coz i was sleeping LOL. When I wake up, I was already in our plant. It's a huge factory and I can smell the melted sugar as I enter the compound. Now I have met the people whom I only knew as I am always talking to them just over the phone, now i have met them personally and they're nice. It's a whole day of observing the production, auditing and meeting people inside the factory. Duh! The pressure is really here and not in my office!

The Finish Product: Dyaraaaaannnn!!!! Looks crunchy but delicious.

Sorting: Which is witch! They delicately sort out chips that are dark in color

and broken. Imagine how many millions of chips they have sorted.

Cooling: Chips are being cooled before sorting. It's hard to touch while

it's hot huh!

It's a 12 hour long trip from Davao to Cagayan de Oro City. We left the plant around 6 pm. It's a rainy evening and it was so cold and i was chilling. We decided to visit the famous Resto where they cater seafoods. My boss informed me that "panga ng tuna" is the best.

This captured my attention as I go around the place. So refreshing and so gurl..
My mom have this flowering plant and she love this.

Luz Kinilaw....... is an old Restaurant in Davao City which is already around 40 years. They serve authentic Davao cuisine and this restuarant is recommended for first-timers in Davao City. Upon arrival in the restaurant, I catched the glimpsed of tuna being grilled in front.

A plate of grilled squid was already enough for our group. I like the way the squid was cooked. It does not feel like I’m eating rubber when I had some.

I was asked to visit our plant in Davao and Cagayan de Oro. It's like I have to get acquainted with the nature of our company's business. We visited first our plant in Davao. Davao is such a great place, name the fruits you want to eat and they have it. I have seen tons and tons of green bananas freshly delivered by the suppliers. There's no place like home. Whatever beautiful views and sights a place could have, we must admit that you would still appreciate the place where you originated.

I have stayed in Manila since my college days up to present. And I really miss spending time with my Mom. Yes, i have to see her for she really miss me too. My mom would say," namimiss ko na ang dalaga ko!" LOL.

And one of the reasons why i should go home is that, i miss my place. I miss the natural atmosphere of my home. And, namimiss kong matungga ng poso o ang mag igib, eventhough we have motorized water pump before, ang magwalis ng bakuran namin at susunugin mo ang mga tuyong dahon pagkatapos mong ipunin, and magdilig ng halaman, ang ulam na sariwang isda. ang kahol ng aso, as well as my father's bark (mas mabunganga sya kesa sa nanay ko,LOL), and my friends na doon na lang nag-istay. These are the things I really miss.

I really miss also the places i used to spend my whole day of relaxing while spreading out my lungs, burning out and getting away from stress.

Should i say these are my sanctuaries that relaxes me.....

Believe me, you'll like it....

The Falls: It's about 12 kilometer away from my home. Once i visit this place, monkeys are swarming over the trees. It's so natural and my place is really such a cornocupia of beautiful things. How can I not miss this place. It's breathtaking.

The Punta Beach: There is a lot of memories in this place....i really miss this. The sand is not as fine or white as Boracay, but what this beach gives you is the complete isolation. I mean that, for me, is true luxury.

Punta beach: They should develop this hidden place . It's so natural, raw and untouched by man. I hope it stays that way.

Punta beach: See? It's like Dakak or Subic right? It's so naturally clean and the crystal water i always break as I do my synchronize swimming.

The Hanging Bridge: This is located in another place some kilometers away from my house. This is the best gift for the residents for them to cross the river easily specially during rainy seasons where flash flood occurs. They have to evacuate quickly as it always happen . I was like seven walking back and forth on this hanging bridge.

The green fields: I can smell the strong aroma of rice while walking on this green field. It's so native, it's so pinoy and so rural. Haaaayyy, i miss this.

Holiday with batch mates......

I have spent my New year in Mindoro and we had a great time together with my batch mates. Jane was there too. And we had visited places we really missed since the day we were highschool and hanging around. Like Tamaraw falls. They have visited my house also and I admit am not a good host. So nagtyaga na lang sila sa panonood ng t.v. while having a hot banana que. Jennyway was with us also, the only friend am always with here in Manila coz' we're the two being left here.

After spending New Year's Eve in each of our families, we have gathered at Jane's house. It was fun!

I miss this happening!

It was really cold during that time but we went up strolling like there is no tomorrow.

A whole day with the Dutch.....

It's a whole day of hanging around with my friend Jane (middle). She came back from Holland to spend Christmas and New Year with her family in Mindoro. We have met in Gateway which is nearer to her Tita Vi's house where she stayed here Manila. She usually called me when she's already here , and I am the first person she have to meet before anybody else. I'm so special. She introduced Arnaud, her BF or husband to be. I am also the first person she usually introduce to her BF's (she's choosy minsan). Might I say, she's asking for approval. But when i saw Arnaud, she don't have to ask for approval, unspokenly, she already knew it's a big YES. So, it's a day of talking about our lives, her life in Hollland, as well as her experiences from her past until she coped up with those trials. We went to several malls, Gateway, Robinsons Place in Malate, MOA, S.M. MAnila (huh crowded). And even Luneta huh( you know we're with a foreigner and we have to introduce our land). It's tiring but fulfilled. We have shared everything new to us since hindi kami nagkita ng matagal and what we have left behind .

Jane and I: Gosh she's not getting older. Look at me, am like a toothless septuaginarian.

Arnaud and I: He's really a nice guy, a clean living and wholesome. It's not hard to make friends with him. He love Jane so much. And Jane is so greatful.

We were together since 10 a.m. until 3 am. We end up in a bar where we hang dancing while enjoying the live band in Araneta Cubao (Serve? can't remember the place). We do really missed each other. She's the only person who can understands me as me. We we're together since childhood. Helloes we're asthma mates. And i really miss being with her. I can't wait to see her again. And specially the bar hopping with them.

Subic.....

I think I worked too much these past few weeks. It was so stressful and i think i was blown out and exhausted. It's only February but I can feel the heat of summer. We (my ofc. mates) decided to relax and go out of town and visit Subic. Subic is the best place to dive and do my synchronize swimming. We drove from Manila at 5 a.m. and we're already in Subic at 9.am. I slept the whole trip while they were still talking about work. I find it really tiring listening to those.
And when I wake up it's a green place we're in. We're now in Subic. What surprises me are the monkeys hanging around the road we were passing through. They're so wild!

Summer eyesores......

Punta beach: This is my sanctuary. I usually spend my time here during holidays. I have so many unforgettable happenings here. I'll post it soon also...

It's gettin' hot here in Manila. It's really sizzling. According to the news, it will be hotter compared to last year. During this season, i always feel the excitement of spending the holy week in my hometown. Inhaling a cool breeze as u wake up in the morning is such a luxury for me. It's entirely different from waking up in a lazy mode before you work like mad in Manila. The port is always busy during this season, tourist, my kababayans, and those who want to enjoy the beaches along the coast of Mindoro keeps swarming over the port. These are what i usually observe everytime I travel going back to my home town:

1)like those girls who travels wearing backless tops and high heeled shoes while carrying backpack (bigger than a usual back pack, it's almost like a sack). Imagine her carrying those with matching thick foundation on her face and a very thick red lipstick. She's killing me. (hahahahah!).

2) A student who speaks like "kasi ano eh, di ba?, ang init naman neto ( words with manila accent). Those people who speaks like they have stayed in Manila for so long and don't want to use their native tounge (punto) anymore. I am about to laugh in outburst when she called a boy "Huy Josip!" that should be Joseph. Hahahaha.

3) There is the pasosyal na Matrona who speaks like she owns the whole town and and having a huge hacienda making paypay as she travels. But when she remove her scarf, my gosh, there is a bakat ng banig (a blanket made from pandan leaves) on her shoulder!!! nya hahahhaha. I thought she sleeps in a 18th Century Canopied King size bed the way she acts.....(it should be me,lol!)

These are the funny things i really enjoyed watching while i'm on my way to my town. While waiting for your ticket, spend your time watching those scenes.

...have had tried having a business which I can apply my being creative...imaginative....errr artistic...so I tried accessories.. I was just inspired by a friend who is now living in Europe, she got back here to visit her parents and fix things for them... before she left for Holland... she used to buy stuffs (Class A Louis Vuitton bags in Greenhills, Prada scarfs, D & G coin purse etc.. etc...) which she can sell when she get back there in Europe. She spend worth of Php 25, 000 for accessories...woohoo. those necklaces and earrings and bracelet and rings were purchased from Muslims who were just hanging around Divisoria mall... They are used to be on this kind of business especially selling pirated DVDs and VCDs along streets of crowded places like Manila areas such as Quiapo and Divisoria and everywhere...

Back to accessories.....
I saw the accesories and I thought these stuffs are so simple.. I can do this easily.....These are so common ....soooo...ka ka....I told her "mare I can provide you better than these".... and I've made it.... I have sold pieces and pieces of my designs and what i've got from my profit is a Nokia Celphone which was lost when I had my fave tapsilog in a karinderya near in my house.....gggrrrrrrrrr...

....my life is boring nowadays thinking that blogging will preoccupy my boredom...am a busy person working in a company where bosses are working like mad. i have to work like mad also.

WANDERLUST......when I'm bored, I go places to places. I go everywhere I want to. ...i have a strong desire to travel. And I believe I will always be a wanderer.....always....

When I'm alone and bored again...I'm with my big mug of coffee and a stick of Marlboro lights.......there.... i'm travelling....and starting to think of myself in places I want to go......
